Designer for the month of March
Claire Brocklehurst

I'm a full time Swimming and Aqua-aerobics instructor. I studied art and design at school and always been interested in jewellery design.  What started as a hobby, making jewellery just for myself, has grown over the years.  I now make one-off peices of jewellery for family and friends in my spare time.  I use a mixture of materials, although most of my most recent pieces have been mainly glass and silver beads. I have created be-spoke sets for family, friends, friends of friends for weddings and special occasions etc.  I am putting together a website to display my work and can be contacted via e-mail in the meantime. clairebbeads@yahoo.co.uk

On the charm bracelet's I have used a mixture of pearl's, glass beads, and metal beads. I use anything that sparkles!!

For the rings I tend to use a base colour i.e. Gold, I use a mixture of pearls, glass and silver beads to break the colour up abit. I recently discovered milliefiori glass beads - I love using them as each one is slightly different and the colour's are great when the light hit's them
