Avril started playing with beads by making ear-rings with her daughter a couple of years ago. Six months later she was selling to her work mates. Avril works in a Special needs school which has over a hundred staff. A captive audience who love her creations. Avril favourite stone to work with is turquoise but doesn't get the opportunity to use it enough. Avril is displaying and selling her wares at local craft fairs but finding it very hit and miss at times. Avril say "I've just started working with polymer clay but it's in the early stages and I'm still getting excited when I make a simple cane! " |
